Well folks, summer has come and has gone.. almost. I am trying to soak up my last two weeks in btown! Summer always goes by wayyyy too fast, but I am so excited to roam the streets of Provo and campus of BYU with my boy carter! So my summer has been busy and all over the place. The following pictures show some highlights of this AMAZING summer :)
Desi Rae's baby blessing. She seriously feels like half my child. I love this one so much.
Get ready for lots of pictures of kids... between nannying, babysitting and my summer camps, my summer has been a very kid-filled one. I felt so lucky to literally get to spend my summer like a kid again- between going to lagoon, the zoo, or having a slip n slide it was a blast!
Slip n' Slide!
This one little girl I watched named Mary totally reminds me of Boo. They are both hilarious!
Nothing better to kill off the summer heat than some sno cones!!
The Zoo for Yen Yen's 2nd Birthday. This kid makes me so happy. His love for the simple things of life and animals especially brings me such joy!
All decked out in his new birthday gear. Such a stud!
Some more babysitting adventures!
Yes, I will proudly say that I took 5 little kids- 9 and under to the Rec Center by myself. I've loved that Char and Boo got to tag along with me to work a lot this summer!
Water Balloon Fight!
More Sno Cones! Never gets old.
I went a little crazy one night with the hair braiding, but these girls loved it! Definitely one of my favorite families to watch!
Monster's University with Parker and the Kids. A little Aunt and Uncle date.
One of the greatest highlights of the summer was having Jon and Shae and their kiddos come visit for 3 weeks from Virginia. My DC feathies mean the world to me! Em and Luke (Em especially) loved Just Dance on the wii. So hilarious to watch them get way into it (and again by they I am mostly talking about Em- to this day she still sings all the Just Dance songs. Such a diva:))
This picture CRACKS me up. Claire totally thought this giganto remote was a phone. She was saying "Hiiiiiiii"
Couldn't resist this cheeseball picture. Claire is also half my baby. I AM OBSESSED.
This kid can get me to laugh like no one else. Just posting up in the highchair..
You can't come to Granny and Papa's and not take a walk (and a little
dip into the river) down to the Mueller Park canyon. An instant classic!
HUGE leafs
Nothing less than adorable, as always.
Cousin dinner picnic (AKA mom was tired of cleaning up the kitchen every 30 seconds ;))
More Just Dance, of course. It was the hit of their stay!
Cousin sleepover at Granny's! This picture is so great- they were all so zoned out by the movie! Nothing better than the double beanbag.
PEEEEEEEEESH
So fun to take the Feathies out boating!
Boater babe!
Cutest flag girl ever.
Loving up the surf sesh
Tubing time!
my new favorite picture.
Like i said, this kid is the bomb.
No comment... he comes up with his own material!
I was taking care of some neighbor's birds and dog so I took the kids along and they LOVED it.
Tramp sprinkler party!
We had to take a trip up to the Burger Bar and to see Grandpa Ben. Claire was so cute sitting in Grandpa's big chair!
On the way to the ZOO! Me and Em has a little photo shoot with our twinner glasses!
She also comes up with her own material ;)
We LOVE the zoo!
So amazing watching the Polar Bear swim- incredible!
Shae's favorite- the giraffes!!
RAWWWWWR
Waiting for the bird show!
The good ole zoo carousel!
After the Zoo, me and park hit up city creek to get him all updated with the latest fashions :) hahahah let's just leave it at this pic. Enough said- trying to fit in, but not quite cutting it. RM probs.
Can't get enough of her. She is gunna have the big ole Marsden laugh/ cackle :)
Even when this kid is sleeping he can make me laugh. Yes, we caught him sleeping like this. Sooooo funny!!
A little GNO while Shae was here. Oh and of course we had to hit up Guitar Hero- it's a tradish. :)
Par, the only brother around, joined in on the fun in his green pants haha! Give it a BIG OLE BEAR HUG- night it officially originated.
Wow, I love these sisters of mine. I have grown so incredibly close to both of them. They have truly become my second moms. I cherish the times we can all get together. SISTA SISTA 4 life.
Just a random pic of my hensy boy. Living with Ray this summer has been such a blast. Henry is such a sweetie and I love when I walk in the door he gives me a big smile and says "SHEBBBYY!" The other morning I woke up to him naked outside my bedroom door playing with Boo's makeup and yet he told me he was painting his nails. It was to die for. He loves to just come play in my room and roll around and wrestle on my bed. I will miss my little yen yen.
It's been SO FUN having Par and all his friends home. They are literally my group of friends and I get to tag along on all the fun adventures- boating, concerts, golfing etc. Here we hit up the Burger Bar after some boating.
Yes, the Fab 5 lives on after High School ;) This was at Scottie Featherstone's homecoming! Although we are all splitting up and going to different colleges we are still the best of friends and keep in touch. I love them so much and am so grateful for their friendship. They are basically my only close friends left not leaving me completely on missions right now. I count that a blessing!
Summer isn't summer without LAGOON!
Yes, we got a whole ride to our own fam- so great!
My other favorite pic! Sooooo hard to say goodbye to these cute kids and my amazing sis shae!
July 4th!! We had a ward breakfast and kid bike parade. We took Boo, Char and Yen. I helped them decorate their scooters and car and then pushed Yen in the parade! It was so cute:)
This summer= the adventures of Parker and Shelby. My BFF. We have been loving these little SLC concerts. We had such a fun brother sister date one night where we went to the SLC temple, hit up a Taco Stand, went to a concert (The National) and got slurpees after. I have the best brother EVER!
Golfing with my two bros! So fun to have Reevo back too!
Things haven't changed... still gaming away. RAAAAAA
Another concert- Grizzly Bear!
So fun to have another sibling come home for a visit. We loved having Scot and Sar come out from NYC and then head down to Powell with us a few days after. Before we went to Powell, Scot, Par, Sarah and I went up to Logan to take some graduation pictures of Sarah (YAY SAR!!). Then we ate lunch at Cafe Sabor where Scot used to work when he went to USU. It was fun mini day trip adventure. So fun to see Sarah and Parker meet for the first time!
Another weekend this summer, Me Bri and Han went up to Bear Lake to visit Chan and Linds who worked up there and lived in their cabins all summer. We had to go eat at the Restaurant they served at- The Bear Trapper :) We also had a ton of fun getting some sun, playing around on the jet ski, playing the guitar and staying up WAY too late- 5 am?? NBD for the fab.
Another boating day- love the timer pics.
Another amazing weekend trip! Parker, his good friend Keller Seamons and I went up to Parker's Mission in WA. We came across this random donkey at one gas station. There are some crazy places out there...
In WA we had to hit up the rootbeer store! It was INSANE how many flavors they had.
Bottles upon bottles upon bottles
And the specialty sodas- buffalo wing and chocolate... hmmm
We stayed at Maria Santos's house with her and her 6 year old son Ceasar. He is so funny. He couldn't say my name right so it sounded like Chubby!
I fell in LOVE with the Seattle Temple. The whole reason we went up for the weekend was for Parker to see Maria Santos receive her endowment, to do the work for her father, and to see the Morales family get sealed. What an amazing day. I had a great time down in the baptistry and relaxing on the beautiful grounds as well!
After the temple at the Morales's reception! This is Ana, Lorena Morales's mom who also got baptized!
The incredible Maria Santos. I love her so much.
Me and Parker had WAY too much fun at the reception. We were dancing like crazy. Everyone was watching us- I think they were so surprised to see that side of "Elder Marsden."
The Santi Esteban Family! On sunday, Parker was also able to be there when Carlos received the Priesthood!
A little photo booth action at the reception. Favorite picture of the whole trip!
Well there is one last thing that pretty much sums up my summer and that is my summer camps! I hosted 12 different themed days of kids camps for ages 4-8. Everyday I planned games, crafts, stories, and activities for the 2 1/2 hours. It was such a good experience and a ton of fun! I am so grateful I decided to do it. I will never forget it! BIG SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU to mom and dad for their help and letting me use the house to host the camps. I could not have done it anywhere else. That house is unbeatable!! Here are some highlights from the different days.
