I feel so blessed to have had the BEST christmas break ever. Three weeks off from school was FANTASTIC :) Finals went really well and I finished Thursday morning of finals week and cruised home as fast as I could. I was SO excited to have a break and more importantly to see family!! Here are a few highlights of my christmas break!
I drove home SUPER fast. Hahah and the car was packed full! Only room for me:)
Yes, I don't pack lightly!
Friend Christmas Gift Exchange! I got a cute new scarf and earrings from bri! It was so fun to be with all my old high school friends. We are spread out between UVU, UofU, SLCC and BYU!
Ray and John invited me and Shae to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert/Music and the Spoken Word on a Sunday morning! It was SO FUN to be reunited with my amazing sisters and the concert was absolutely spectacular!
The best part of my break was spending SO much time with my VA kiddos! Missed them so much. Felt right at home like Nanny Shelbs again! Me and Em had so much fun playing in the snow a lot! She was a die hard!
We whipped out the snow skates which the kids all love and Emmie and Charley were actually really good at it!
Granny even showed us her skills!!
Em in the snow again:) Such a cutie!
Can't go sledding without some hot cocoa! Em and Luke would argue about it being hot cocoa or hot chocolate! So funny.
It was so fun to have a crazy house all the time(even though the cleaning up wasn't all that fun haha) but the kids helped us get into the christmas spirit especially with our calendar activities!
Making Snowflakes!
Christmas Jello!
Playing Playdough- a classic at grannys!
I loved having lots of little girls around to play beauty shop with! Emmie and Brittana are little divas and beauty queens. Total girly girls. They had so much fun coming to my hair and nail salons. I was dying watching emmie put on her own mascara! So cute. And then she wanted to do Boo's makeup! It was to die for. So cute.
My Lukie Bendo! Love this stud. Always keeps me laughing.
Getting ready to perform our christmas dance for the fowler family christmas party talent show! These kids were a hit! The girls did such a good job and luke was awesome doing his own "army" punching dance.
Aren't they the cutest?? Gotta love the hilarious costumes I came up with after searching through the house and dress up closet!
Just a sneak peak into the Christmas Eve 3am tradition. Sledding (or scooting in reality) down the hill in the classic silver bowl! This year scot and I welcomed our newest member- Sarah!
Sar caught right on! Just doing some hilarious santa dances!
Blurrrry- but Sarah sitting on Scot's shoulders trying to go down.... didn't go so well haha!
Reenacted this one year when Parker crashed into one of the pine trees!
The classic stair picture! MERRY CHRISTMAS- at 11 in the morning :) hahaha niiiiice long sleeping in!
Christmas is so much better with little kids! They bring the magic of it all back to life! Top picture is when we did our classic candy houses on Christmas Adam! Christmas Adam was a blast... well until I got sick and threw up that night! Hahah but shout out to spen and diana for giving me the best game ever (telestrations) that provided plenty of laughs this holiday season! The bottom picture is the kids on christmas day getting ready to open their gifts! They are happy with the simplest gifts.
The highlight of christmas day was talking to ELDER MARSDEN!! I look absolutely crazy in this picture, but it pretty much explains how I felt. Such an exciting feeling! 5 months left!!! WOOOOHOOOO!
Since I was still recovering from sickness on Christmas Eve, we postponed our ski day until the day after christmas! It was a snowy cold day, but it was really fun! Thanks mom and dad for the great christmas gift! :)
Me and Scot! We had such a good time this christmas and I am SO HAPPY they were able to come stay for 10 days. It was a blast. Miss my brothers so it was nice to have at least one come home for Christmas! Me and Scot have become sooo close. It was so hard to say goodbye.
Scot and Sarah!
Not sure if you can see in this picture, but me and sarah had icicles hanging off our hair on the sides- looked like nasty frozen side burns! hahah!
I brought back some classic memories and traditions that shae started with the "Birthday Boards." It was fun to have her here for her birthday and I was so excited to be able to make her a "Birthday Board." Love my sis!
Not sure if this is inappropriate.. haha but they are just TOO cute. They loved playing with my shaving cream in the tub and "painting" with it on the shower walls. Oh and yes, I even let them help me shave my legs with it. Hahahah only came out with a cut or two ;)
My favorite picture of the whole break pretty much: CLAIRE BEAR. This little bebe is an ANGEL. I was so sad when she was scared of me at first, but she quickly warmed up to me! She has grown up so much! Such a sweetheart. I wanted to be with her every second! So smiley and happy. I wanted to just keep her here forever! It's hardest to say goodbye to the little kids because they change so much and they don't remember things! :( I love my little dede claire! Miss those cheeks!
Girls night out at IGGY's round 2! It's almost been a year since we did this before Shae moved. So fun to be together again! These three woman are my best friends and basically all my moms! Don't know what I would do without them. Oh and yes, of course shae got her fish tacos BABBYYYY!
Bahahah. Raiding Granny's closet and trying on all her shoes. Shae looks like a massive giant! Love it. (Sister Perez would appreciate those heels don't ya think shae?)
I'm sad this picture is fuzzy cause it's sooo cute. This kid is adorable- especially in that sweet bow tie:)
So glad sarah had the idea for all of us to go to the Savior of the World Christmas Program! It was amazing and really added to the Christmas spirit! Me, Scot and Sarah also had a good time before the show walking around temple square and city creek!
Cute kids wanted to help Scot with the driveway:)
New Year's eve we headed up to Grandpa Ben's to visit him and get some burger bar food! It was hilarious because Luke is always the one to fall asleep in the car, and emmie never does! The tables turned :) Em played so hard everyday.. she finally got worn out!
We hit up some Guitar Hero after Grandpa Bens. The kids loved it! Then Shae and I played some games and actually stayed up till midnight. We watched the ball drop on TV in times square and banged on a few pots and pans and gave a holler out the front door! I even ran and did a little somersault into the snow! We also had to do a few cheers and new years resolutions for good times sake! It was a fun new year celebration. HAPPY 2013!
Seriously obsessed with this baby. She is the cutest.
I loved doing Emmie's hair a lot over the break. This was my favorite :) The upside down braid!
I was crackin up when Emmie came into my room and told me my high heels fit her and she wanted to wear them to Gramares! Classic!
The lipgloss/lipstick queen!!
The kids loved seeing all my special souvenirs from China and Spain. They looked so cute!
On Shae's last day here, Dad (papa) took us to McDonalds! Classic memories! Henry was being so cute with Claire and kept wanting her to go down the slide with him!
Even though we had PLENTY of sugar all christmas, we had to have our classic dessert of mint oreos with vanilla ice cream on Shae's last night! Miss my sis so much
Another classic board:) I was so sad to see my D.C. Feathies go! Can't wait to see them again! It was a blast and the best break ever thanks to them!
Mom and I finally finished the Lord of the Rings Trilogy over the break and celebrated this last weekend by seeing the Hobbit! I am officially a Lord of the Rings fan... like 15 hours later! :) Such a wonderful break.... now back to reality :/
