ANNNNND I am back! Hahah now that the semester ended I found some time to blog. I have caught up on this past semester, my trip to NYC over president's day weekend, and Chandler's baptism. Life is oh so good and I can't believe it is already summer!
Wow Winter Semester was nothing less than WINTER. We got some serious snow!! More snow than I have ever seen at once in my life!
Well... all that snow led to some serious house damage like we have never had before! It was pretty nuts. The house looked so crazy!
State Drill was in February and it was so fun to go watch my good ole mandonelles perform! Chan and Linds did amazing and it was so fun to be there. It was sad too as I realized how much I miss it :( They won the 5peat this year!
BYU basketball game and shakes after at this famous place called Sammy's! Here we are with Sammy himself haha
Fun ice skating double date I went on with Johnny Holmgren!
I still LOVED coming home on weekends and spending time with Char, B, and Henry. We all got a kick out of this picture as I put brown hair on Char and blonde hair on Boo. So funny!
I also got really sick with strep throat one weekend and mom still came through for me and bought all of this and had it sitting out for me when I woke up the next morning. She is amazing!! Love her.
Goodbye dinner at Brick Oven for Jake Parry who left on his mission!
My lovely roommate and best friend camrie!
We love photobooths- Maddie, Camrie and Me
Saying goodbye to my two best guy friends and wardies, Mike Yates and James Taylor! Can't believe they are also dating my two best girl friends! Gotta love it. I miss them already!
Happy 19th Birthday to Me! My friends were the BEST as I was down in Provo on my birthday. I went to Lunch with Audrey, then Dinner with Camrie, Berkeley and Jane and then Berlyn made me a cake that we had later! It was such a great day.
That night we also went to Maddie Blake's mission call opening. She is going to Spain. Cam is going to Hong Kong and Berkeley is going to AZ. So proud of them and so excited for them!
Then over the weekend we celebrated my birthday with the family! On Friday night we went to dinner at the Pizza Factory and then went bowling. It was a blast!!
Me and Ray- What can I say... I'm sweet 19 and preggggo!
Sunday night the party continued as we had cake and I opened presents! I felt so spoiled:) And yes we only had these two candles.. 19 going on 30 I guess??
About a week later on March 16th I had the AMAZING opportunity to watch sweet little Desi Rae Alexander come into the world. It was quite the experience and although everyone thinks I am traumatized, I absolutely loved it and cried as little des was born. Made me want to be a mom that much more! Me and Desi are going to have a strong bond I am sure. So grateful I get to spend so much time with this angel as I am living with John and Ray this summer!
SO CUTE
Seriously an ANGEL from heaven
I had so much fun the following weekend helping Ray do a photoshoot of Desi. She is adorable!
Also had a blast watching these three cute kids while Ray had Desi! I am going to love living with them this summer!
This year I have definitely gone to my fair share of farewells. So many missionaries! Me and Chan and Linds took a pic one Sunday as we were all matching wearing our maxi- skirts.
We celebrated BOO's 4th birthday over Conference Weekend and it was the cutest Monster's Inc party! She looks just like BOO from the movie. I love this crazy spunky girl. So full of passion for life and she has the BEST facial expressions. She seriously cracks me up.
Me and Jeffrey went on a way funny "hipster date" this semester. I think we had the most fun taking tons of pictures of us all dressed up. It was good time!
We also went to dinner at this way hipster place- menus on clipboards, mason jars for cups, etc. It was so perfect!
I was so excited to go to two new temples this semester- one being the Timpanogas Temple! I went there with one of my really good friends I met down in Provo- Kaitlin Porter. It reminded me sooo much of the Bountiful one- I loved it!
The next day I also went to the Logan temple after an interview me and Audrey had up in Logan! It was so fun! We ate at the Burger Bar too... yuuuummmm!
Me and Camrie made plenty of Snickerdoodles this semester- my specialty. In fact, we always had cookies or treats at our apartment- "freshmen 15" is not a joke people.
Another night me and Camrie chewed 10 pieces of double bubble gum. Our jaws hurt soo bad but we blew some HUGE bubbles.
Karaoke down in P- town!
Me and Camrie also went to Festival of Colors this year with some boys we met down in Provo. It's the hindu chalk throwing festival to welcome in spring at the hindu temple. It was our first time- so crazy but so fun! We were covered!!
Me and Camrie also got wayyyy in to classic skating this semester and we even just loved to go by ourselves, dress up and act crazy. We discovered we had a lot more fun on nights that we just hung out alone. So grateful for her and I will miss her so much when she leaves in June for her mission!
I love puppies!!! Down in Provo they have a business called Rent-A-Puppy. They were holding a free advertising event south of campus and so me and camrie went and saw a few of the puppies. It made a us puppy hungry! haha
Another girls night out with Camrie to see the host!
We also found another photobooth and couldn't resist! BFF's like PB&J!
And again, another night just the two of us getting ice cream at the BYU creamery. Classic!
Last Disco night for the year down in Provo. Classic skating was oh so good to us!
More farewells- the boys farewells are over... now let the girls farewells begin. I love this picture of a bunch of us good friends from my high school class. MISS THEM.
End of year bonfire party at Utah Lake! Bye Bye Freshmen Year!
Me and Camrie had such a fun last night in Provo together. We are basically twins! We went to Cafe Rio, then Nickel City and then we made a last music video and then we stayed up till 4 AM talking and watching Hot Rod. So hilarious. It was worth it although we were sooo tired when we had to wake up early the next morning for our cleaning check.
Just a snapshot of our music video. Twinning!
Crazy how much stuff we all accumulated this year and had to move out! It was crazy but we finally got it all out and cleaned up.. so sad to see it empty and to say goodbye. I have such a hard time with goodbyes and change. I feel like I had just gotten used to Freshmen Year! Glad I ended on the best note.
After getting all moved out, me and Camrie went to breakfast at Denny's and then headed home! The truck was packed the brim but I made it. Quite an ordeal. I have never moved in my life so it was a little taste of what it is like!
So thankful I finished out my freshmen year strong and had so much fun this semester!! I am so grateful for how much I have learned and grown. I truly have been so blessed and feel like I am a different person today than I was several months ago. Even though it may not appear so, I have been through so much internally and I am so grateful for it now. Can't believe I made it. I am officially done with my freshmen year at BYU:) See you in 4 months BYU- goooo cougs!! School is out for SUMMER!
